Multiplying and Dividing Radical Expression

Hello readers! My name's Jean and I'll be doing a blog 'bout multiplying and dividing radical expressions.

HERE GOES NOTHING!!!

k so here's our example for multiplyin'

(O yea! When multiplying radicals, multiply the coefficients and multiply the radicands. You can only multiply radicals if they have the SAME INDEX)

So now we're going to put together the coefficients with the other coefficients and multiply them same with the radicands.

so now we'll simplify the number in the square root

we'll square root the 4 to get it out of the square root

and that's your answer!

now to divide

we'll use an example from the book
(if you paid attention to this blog, you'd also see my first example is from the book ;p)

ANOTHER NOTE: WHEN DIVIDING RADICALS YOU HAVE TO DIVIDE THE COEFFICIENTS THEN DIVIDE THE RADICANDS AND YOU CAN ONLY DIVIDE RADICALS THAT HAVE THE SAME INDEX!!!!!!!!KSNX$#!+@

so now we're gonna multiply sqrt 2 to both sides

and that is your answer! hope this helps
(you and i both know that it helps only a little...)

so...
